Campaigning for Boris East to West

In our first big campaigning push of 2012 London CF's activists were out on the streets of North-East and North-West London for Boris.

North-West Action Day in Ealing ~ Alex Stafford 

On Saturday we held an Action Day across the North West Area. We helped out at two locations, in Osterley as well as in Ealing. This was very well attended with a very strong showing in Ealing. Celia Surtees and Gabriella Giles led the campaign in Osterley. They were joined by Mary Macleod MP as well as Tony Arbour the GLA member. Between us we knocked on several hundred doors and delivered several thousand leaflets calling on people to back Boris.

Ealing CF Chairman Fabio Conti said “It was great to see so many Conservative Future members from across London joining our local Councillors and activists for a hugely successful afternoon of canvassing and leafleting in Northfield. There was a great response on the door step, and a great way to kick of our campaigning in 2012. From the Ealing team a massive thank you to everyone who came to help!”

North-East Action Day in Chingford ~ Harriet Holmes

A great turnout this Saturday for NE London CF’s first campaign action day of 2012. London CFers including North East Area Chairman, Harriet Holmes and North West Area Chairman, Will Hargreaves hit the streets of Chingford with GLA Candidates, Naomi Newstead and Nadia Sharif. We were also joined by Local Councillors Jemma Hemsted and Alan Siggers.

Within a couple of hours, several thousand copies of the latest ‘Chingford and Woodford Green Record’ were delivered across Hale End and Higham’s Park ward. The latest edition informs residents of the Mayor Boris’ successful improvements to transport services and job opportunities in the Borough. An article on Naomi Newstead’s work with developers and her calls to the Labour Council also illustrates how, if elected in May, Naomi will continue to push for better quality development across the Borough.
