This weekend Conservative Future was recognised at the Conservative Party National Excellence Awards. London Conservative Future won the National Membership Award for gaining over 1000 new members and Richmond Park CF was a runner up for the Social Action Award.
Members of the Conservative Party nominated in their hundreds and I am tremendously proud to announce that London Conservative Future and Richmond Park Conservative Future have been nominated for the finals, out of hundreds of applications.
In preparation for the first London debate on AV which is to take place in Stratford on the 2nd of March CFers turned out in force to leaflet the area (more information www.no2av.org).
On Saturday 26 February the Party held its annual One-day London Conference at the Hammersmith Town Hall. Many CFers attended the conference including a lot of new faces who were keen to get involved.

Now, to help us communicate with you, we've launched this new London CF website as promised by Nicolas Clark in his election manifesto.
London CF activists turned out to help our candidate, Suresh Kansagra, in the last weekend before polling day of the Kenton Ward by-election in Brent. London Deputy-Chairman Political, Einy Shah, and Area Chairman, Hind Essoussi, were joined by Bob Blackman MP and Syed Kamall MEP.
The first ever region-wide debate was held by London CF over the last three weeks. It took three rounds to whittle sixteen teams from Associations, Areas and Universities down to the final two for the grand finale in Parliament. The first round took place at UCL, rounds two and three at the LSE and the final was held in the Macmillan room at Portcullis House. Nearly one hundred people of all ages and political beliefs came to watch the final and hear the two sides debate the motion that “this house believes that the Big Society is a cover for gratuitous cuts“.
On Saturday 5th February London CF held a Super Saturday in Brentford and Isleworth with local Member of Parliament Mary Macleod.
Last Saturday the inaugural round of the first Region-wide CF Debate was held by London CF at UCL. Sixteen teams came to debate a variety of current affairs in their bid to compete in the final which will be held in Parliament on Thursday 10th February. All the MPs, MEPs and AMs of London have been invited to attend and the Attorney General, the Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP, will be presenting the finalists with their prizes.
London CF has kicked off 2011 in style with a New Year’s Cocktail Party in trendy Islington. The party, hosted by the North Central Area, saw over 60 CFers turn out to join Syed Kamall MEP and James Cleverly AM.
